What's NEXT?

I finally did a 3D Animation!

While it took two weeks to make the Apple and it's mouth. It only took an additional week and sixteen frustrating attempts to finally understand what the experts were getting at. (Just because it's wight painting, you don't paint the mesh, you're painting the vertices.) It's exciting to see something come to life, and I can't wait to recreate that moment. As they say, "It you can only do it once, it's a fluke." Which means, I'll have to recreate what I did to the Primitive Apple onto another animation, so I can retain that knowledge.

My son saw Blender Guru's tutorial on how to do Neon, and want's me to make an open sign. A single object would nice, but doesn't sit well with all that I'm trying to do. Just like his suggestion to make a toilet, I'm adding to it.

I think it would be lovely to look through a Restaurants window. The place would be empty of people of course, I'm not that good yet. I've drawn up an idea on the final image would be, but I need to plan out how I'm going put it all together.

As for now, I've got another old project I want to finish up.

When playing with Blender for the first time, I always wanted to do a scene where the camera panned and swerved through a sea of columns. I'm not going at make it fancy or anything remotely remarkable. It's a test/experiment to control the camera and animation. And did I mention fire?

In addition, I also tried to model my own face. The Apple model required that I create the mouth, as if it was a human. I was so proud with how it turned out, I thought maybe I can do my own. However, I had to stop because I was becoming too self-conscious. Not in my abilities mind you, but about my appearance. I never liked being in front of the camera, I guess it's the same with it being three-dimensional.
